ISLAMABAD: Attorney General Munir A Malik has assured the Supreme Court that Prime Minister’s Advisor on Aviation, Shujaat Azeem will tender his resignation.
A three member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case pertaining to irregularities in the construction of the new Islamabad airport.
Malik informed the Supreme Court that Shujaat Azeem was a Canadian citizen and had faced court martial proceedings.
The Supreme Court directed Malik to present the notification of Azeem’s resignation being approved. The hearing of the case has been adjourned till Monday.
