LAHORE: Commissioner Lahore division, Imdad Ullah Bosal on Tuesday said that effective security arrangements have been made to celebrate Independence Day in a peaceful manner.
Chairing a meeting regarding review of security arrangements for the celebrations of Independence Day of Pakistan, he said that Rescue 1122 and ambulances of health department would be deployed in the different areas of the city and hospitals would be on high alert and police would not allow any violation of law and traffic rules on the I-Day, he added.
He said that duties have been assigned to different departments adding that police would maintain peace and law and order in the city while the traffic police would ensure smooth flow of traffic on roads as per traffic plan on the occasion.
DCO Lahore Nasim Sadiq, DIG Operations Rai Tahir, Chief Traffic Officer Sohail Chaudhry, SSP Special Branch Sultan Chaudhry, Dr Ahmad Rescue 1122, Additional Commisioner Revenue Ghulam Sarwar Noor, Wing Commander (retd) Saeed Riaz and other officers attended the meeting. (APP)
