Nicole Kidman reflected on her journey of life and expressed gratitude for ‘surviving’ as woman and mother following her split from Keith Urban.

The 58-year-old actress, opened up about keeping life "vibrant and energized" as she grows older, in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar published on Thursday, October 9.

"Life. Connection. People. Sharing ideas. And just actually being alive, I’m grateful to have that," she began. "I’m grateful to be a part of this world."

The Babygirl actress went on to say that she is "grateful to be surviving as a woman, as an actress, and as a producer, professionally and personally."

Kidman, who recently filed for divorce from estranged husband on September 30after almost two decades of marriage, shared that her most important goal in life is to protect and give safe space to her kids.

"Also, my children [give me the] purpose of being their protector and their guide, promising them that I'm here and that, no matter what, there’s always a safe place to grow up in," Kidman added.

For the unversed, Kidman is mom to four kids: two youngest daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, whom she shares with Urban. And two oldest ones, Bella, 32, and Connor, 30, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Recently, the actress attended the Channel runway show at the Paris Fashion Week earlier this month and was also announced as brand ambassador for the French fashion house.

"As someone who has such an appreciation for haute couture, I am so looking forward to witnessing Matthieu’s vision for the oldest haute couture house still in operation and having the opportunity to wear what I know will be gorgeous creations,” Kidman said in a statement to WWD.
