Police, rangers launch operation against criminals near Safari Park

KARACHI: Police and rangers carried out search operation against the criminals and land mafia near Safari Park area of Gulshan e Iqbal, destroying more than half a dozen houses here on Friday.

The heavy contingent of police and rangers surrounded the Momal Goth area on the secret information that the criminals and people of land mafia are present in the area. The rangers and police with the help of the personnel of anti-encroachment with their heavy machinery launched search operation in the area.

SSP East Imran Shaukat told Geo news that the anti-encroachment personnel have demolished the house of dacoit Perial Chandio, who was involved in the killing of police personnel on Thursday.

He said that other legal houses built in the Katchi Abadi were also put down while illegal gas and electricity connections have also been disconnected.

The SSP East further said that the operation against the criminals would resume tomorrow.
