Islamabad gunman Sikander yet to record statement

ISLAMABAD: Sikander the armed man involved in the Islamabad standoff is yet to record his statement.

According to PIM spokesperson Dr Ayesha, Sikander has been removed from the ventilator; however his condition was not good enough to record his statement for the police. The spokesperson informed the media that Sikander was still in the ICU.

Sikander’s wife has been discharged from the hospital and transferred to a women’s prison.

Sikander accompanied by his wife and children brought the federal capital to a standstill on Thursday as he brandished two sub-machine guns and fired shots into the air.

The five hour standoff came to an end after PPP leader Zamurud Khan intervened and tried to tackle Sikander who was then shot along with his wife by security forces.
