14 held with drugs, weapons

SARGODHA: The police on Saturday claimed to have arrested 14 criminals and recovered illegal weapons and narcotics from their possession.

Police spokesman said that police teams of different police stations conducted raids in their respective jurisdiction and arrested 14 suspects.

They were identified as Muhammad Ajmal Arain of Shaukat Hayat Colony, Allah Ditta of Sheller Colony (PS Bhagtanwala), Anwar Musalli of Mateela (PS Kotmomin), Javid Musalli of Bhabhra (PS Mela) involved in drug peddling, Jahanzeb Pathan (PS Sajid Shaheed), Mazhar Abbas (PS Urban Area), Khawaja Tariq (PS Satellite Town), Asif Chadhar, Taufique Musalli (PS Jhal Chakian), Shahid Iqbal, Ijaz (PS Saddar Bhalwal),Muhammad Ansar, Mazhar Haral (PS Kotmomin), Ghulam Muhammad Ranjha (PS Mela) for carrying weapons without authority.

The police recovered eight pistols 30-bore, two guns 12-bore, 1131 gram hashish and 55 liters liquor from their possession,

Cases have been registered against the accused.
