Peshawar: CM suspends SHO Bana Mari Police Station

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak, here on Sunday paid a surprise visit to Police Station Bana Mari.

Station House Officer (SHO), Muharar, and other staff were absent when
the chief minister reached the police station.

The chief minister was accompanied by Provincial Minister for
Information, Shah Farman, Advisor for Excise & Taxation, Mian Jamshiduddin Kakakhel, Spokesman, Shiraz Paracha, and Chairman District Development Advisory Committee (DDAC), Peshawar, Ishtiaq Urmar.

The chief minister met senior citizen there who was put in the locked up in the police station over a monetary dispute.

After talking with the person, the chief minister issued directives for his bail.

The chief minister on this occasion also ordered the suspension of the SHO and an inquiry against the Muharrar.

The SHO was on leave, but there was no record in this regard.

The chief minister directed the Superintendent of Police (SP) to launch a drive against the traditional “thana culture” and make sure justice was provided to the people.

He said that he would consecutively inspect police stations. (APP)
