PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has issued a warning to the escapees who are still at large following the Dera Ismail Khan jailbreak.
The provincial government has warned the escapees to surrender to the police or local administration in fifteen days otherwise they will be charged under the anti-terrorism act.
According to the provincial home ministry, those escapees who voluntarily surrender will only face pending cases.
At least 248 prisoners escaped during the jailbreak at the Dera Ismail Khan prison on July 29. The attack on the prison was claimed by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and left nine including six policemen dead.
