Islamabad: Accused in explosive-laden vehicle case arrested
ISLAMABAD: An accused of explosive-laden vehicle case has been arrested, sources said.

Police had foiled a terror bid by impounding an explosive-laden vehicle in the federal capital last Friday.

The seized vehicle carrying fake number plate is registered to the name of a Rawalpindi resident.

According to intelligence agencies’ investigations, some important revelations regarding a key accused in the case Hammad Adil are disclosed. Sources said that Adil had taken Jihadi training. The family members of the accused said that Hammad Adil had left home six years ago.

The accused had also planned to bring two to three explosive-laden vehicles in Islamabad. The sources claimed that Adil revealed to the interrogators that the purpose of the plan was to attack Pervez Msharraf and some important installations in the federal capital.

Former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf would not appeared before the court during the last two hearings as the court had granted exemption to him.

The terrorists failed to implement their plan due to the absence of Musharraf in the court proceedings.
