Tom Cruise following his major Oscar win has once again made headlines as one of his box office fops tops the streaming charts.

Cruise’s hit franchise Mission: Impossible last instalment earned its deserving position through streaming platform.

Reported by MovieWeb, Mission: Impossible: The Final Reckoning debuted at number one on Paramount+.

Originally, the film earned enough reviews but fell short of several other movies in the franchise. Critics gave it an 80% score, while audiences gave it 88%.

The official synopsis of the film stated, "Two months after the events of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the Impossible Mission Force (IMF) continue their search for the Entity a terroristic AI that has infiltrated intelligence networks across the globe."

It continues, "As pressure mounts while Hunt and his team are pursued by governments, ghosts from his past emerge in the latest instalment of the iconic action spy series."

In addition to Final Reckoning, currently, Cruise holds the top four spots on the U.S. chart, with Mission: Impossible and Mission: Impossible II on second and fourth place, while his crime thriller American Made is in third.

Cruise’s another hit, Top Gun: Maverick, is sitting on number 10.

Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning also included, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny and many more.

The film was released on May 23, 2025.
