Seminar on Right to Information Ordinance held
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Public Relations & Culture, Shah Farman has said that the Right to Information Ordinance 2013 (RTIO) will play a real foundation for empowering the people at grassroots level.

The government functionaries would be mindful of their future responsibilities. Certainly they enjoy authority but this authority is not unfettered, it carries along certain responsibilities and obligations and a balance and match between authority and responsibility will bring about real change – a change for real empowerment of poor and hapless people, if the new law has weaknesses, it would be looked into, he assured.

He was addressing the participants of a seminar arranged for Public Information Officers (PIOs) at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar on Saturday. The seminar was co-arranged by Information Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Reforms Implementation Cell Chief Secretary Office.

On this occasion MPA/Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Arif Yousaf Advocate, Secretary Information, Azmat Hanif Orakzai, Director Information, Bahramand Khan, Malik Saleem Iqbal, Coordinator CGPA and large number of PIOs were also present at the occasion. (PPI)
