Children kidnapped, handicapped and forced into beggary

SIALKOT: Police have arrested a gang of criminals who kidnapped, handicapped and forced children into beggary.

Police arrested 27 suspects including 14 women for their involvement in this gruesome crime.

According to police, the gang earned hundreds of thousands of rupees and belonged to Bahawalpur. During the raid, police rescued eight children who were also from Bahawalpur. Two of the children were in critical condition and taken to District Headquarters Hospital.

Police say the suspects are being interrogated to find the whereabouts of other kidnapped children.
