Inside Zayn Malik's spooky birthday bash with ‘the sickest cake'

Zayn Malik took things to a spookier level on his 33rd birthday.

On Monday, January 12, the former One Direction star celebrated his birthday in the most unexpected yet thrilling way with a The Walking Dead themed birthday party.

The Dusk Till Dawn hitmaker, who likes to keep his private life away from the spotlight, was generous enough to offer a sneak peek into his special day.

Taking to his Instagram stories, he posted a photo of a cake that read “Happy Birthday, Zayn,” topped with a figure of Norman Reedus’ character Daryl Dixon on the AMC television series.

Moreover, another glimpse from the intimate gathering featured a table, set as a post-apocalyptic feast, perfectly capturing the zombie-themed party.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Malik, who shares a daughter Khai Malik with ex Gigi Hadid, had an eerie cake on his birthday.

Last year, when he turned 32 on January 12, 2025, the Alienated singer received a hyper-realistic cake inspired by the video game and HBO series The Last of Us.

The incredibly detailed, realistic cake was shaped like a "Clicker" from The Last of Us, featuring fungal growths, sharp teeth, and moss, which he shared on Instagram, thanking the baker @thelondonbaker and calling it the best cake he'd ever had.

Calling it "amazing" Malik raved over the stunning creation, writing, "the best I've ever had... in 32 years!" at that time.
