Fact-check: Woman in viral video is an actress, not a Punjab police cop

A video circulating on TikTok shows a woman wearing high heels and a Punjab police uniform walking through the corridors of a police station to the tune of a Bollywood song. Online users have claimed that the woman in the video is a female police officer serving in Pakistan’s Punjab province.
The claim is false. The woman in the video is not a police officer.
Claim
On December 25, a user shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) with the Urdu-language caption: “Respected Inspector General Punjab! Please take a look. Has the dignity of the uniform now become dependent on TikTok likes and views? Is this a police department, or some kind of theater?”
The 18-second clip shows a woman wearing a police uniform and high heels walking through what appears to be a police station corridor.
At the time of writing, the video had been viewed over 27,000 times and received 221 likes.

Fact
The woman in the video is not a police officer; she is an actress. The video was filmed as part of a movie shoot.
A reverse image search conducted by Geo Fact Check found that the same video was posted on Instagram on December 12 by the woman seen in the clip, Zaynab Fatema.
Fatema, who describes herself as a Karachi-based model and actress, clarified that the video was not filmed in a real police station and that she is not a police officer.
“On trending. SHO Zaynab Fatema is on a round, be active, guys,” she wrote. “Thanks for your love, my followers. It’s just a shoot. I know the original police are not wearing heels. Stop criticism and enjoy the glam look of the police.”

Additional posts on her Instagram account further indicate that the viral clip is part of her upcoming movie titled ‘The Team Man’.
