Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s friendship has turned more into a family at this point, and they are either always working together or visiting each other on the sets of the films they are not making together.

The 53-year-old actor and filmmaker, and Damon, 55, appeared together on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, January 13, to discuss their upcoming movie, The Rip.

The Gone Girl star shared an anecdote from the time he was visiting Damon on the set of his upcoming movie, The Odyssey, telling the host that his kids were “psyched” to see the movie being made, moreso than they are for their dad’s movies.

“I’m a huge fan of Chris’,” Affleck said, referring to Chris Nolan. “It’s one of those things where my kids never want to come to the set when I’m working. ‘Hey, you guys, we’re doing a thing on the set’ and they’re like, ‘No, I got school.’”

However, he quipped that it was quite different when they came to visit Damon’s set. “My middle child’s really interested in reading the Iliad and the Odyssey, and we went there, and it was really great.”

The Deep Waters actor shares three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner — Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 13.

Affleck added that he was “grateful” to Nolan for allowing him to visit the set.
