ANF seizes 227102.14 Kgs of drugs, busts 472 criminals

ISLAMABAD: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized 227102.14 Kgs of drugs up to September 8 during the current year.

According to a written report submitted before the Lower House of the Parliament, presented a detailed description of the drugs seized by the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) during 2013.

The document informed the National Assembly that ANF registered 446 drug cases by arresting 472 criminals.

The report further said that ANF seized a heavy consignment including 9716.10 kgs of Opium, 776.00 Kgs Morphine, 3598.811 Kgs of Heroin, 86643.61 Kgs of Hashish, 1006.623 Kgs of Cocaine and 103563.00 Kgs of mixture of Acetic Anhydride/Hudrochloric Acid.

Moreover 15480.00 Kgs of Acetic Hydride 1110.00 Kgs of Hydrochloric Acid, 3.86 Kgs of Methamphetamine, 6703x Tabs of Ecstasy Tablets, 528x Tabs of Misc.Psychotropic Tablets, 0.240 Kgs of Crystal, 4650 Kgs of Poppy Straw and 554 Kgs of Cannabis was seized acrooss the country, it further said.
