PESHAWAR: A function in connection with centennial celebrations of Islamia Collegiate School and Islamia College here in Islamia Collegiate School with Dean, Islamia College, Dr Zahir Shah in the chair.
The function was attended by Principal, Islamia Collegate School, Syed Shabir Ahmad, teachers, senior faculty members, parents, students and a large number of the local notables.
Addressing the function, the speakers said that Islamia Collegiate School and Islamia College are such unique teaching institutions, whose educated students are not only serving in the country and abroad, but their capabilities are also recognized.
The institute was founded by Sir Sahibzada Abdul Qayyum in 1913 and despite the passage of a long period of time the institution is progressing with each passing day.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest, Syed Shabir Ahmad said that the nation, which concentrate on education and skills have always proved successful in the field of development in the world. Therefore, he stressed on the teachers for performing their duties with national spirit and zeal.
Similarly, he also urged the students to utilize their precious time for getting education to not only compete the future challenges in befitting manner, but also perform their duties with the same spirit. (APP)
