Police said three motorcycle riders were robbing the family of Muhammad Akhtar in front of Gulshan Park when police arrived.
The accused opened firing on police, which also retaliated and injured two dacoits.
The accused were identified as Usman and Mateen.They were rushed to hospital while their accomplice Shahid of Mozang fled.
Police impounded the motorcycle and started investigation.
