According to sources, threats of a possible terror attack prior to Eid have been received which has led to authorities increasing the number of check posts around the jail.
Two dozen check posts have been established and policemen patrolling the jail are heavily armed, while those deployed at night have been provided night vision goggles.
At least 50 additional CCTV cameras have also been installed at the Central Jail.
