ANF recovers 14 kg opium
ISLAMABAD: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Friday recovered 14 kilogram opium, 14 kg charas and arrested 3 persons near Pindi Bhatian, Motorway Interchange.

According to a press release received here, during spot-check ANF Lahore intercepted two vehicles; a Cherad Car registered No. LHG 9445.

During detailed search ANF recovered 6 kg charas and 2.4 kg opium. The drugs were concealed in secret cavities made in petrol tank of vehicle. The driver of car Noor Muhammad resident of village Badhni, Chamkani, District Peshawar has been arrested at the spot.

Initial investigation revealed that drugs were brought from Peshawar and was to be delivered the next person at Lahore.

The name of next person was communicated to the accused, once he had given safe arrival at Lahore.

In another case, same spot check team at the same spot intercepted a suzuki Mehran car registered No. IDK 7633.

On detailed search ANF Team recovered 12 KGs Opium and 8.4 kgs charas from the secret cavities of car and arrested two persons Ghulam Murtaza r/o Muzaffarabad and Ch. Saddam r/o Sangjani, Islamabad. The incidence occurred about 2 hours later after the first recovery.

As per initial investigation the vehicle was to be handed over to the next party at Lahore. However, final destination of the drugs is unknown, as it was at the desecration of next party.

All accused have been arrested, cases registered under CNS Act at ANF Police Station Faisalabad and further investigations are under process.
