Letting of Houses on rent to non-locals banned

PESHAWAR: The Deputy Commissioner Peshawar has under section 144 Cr.PC banned the letting of houses, buildings on rent to non-locals without observing the codal formalities.

All the property dealers and owners of the houses and property shall provide a copy of the agreement reached between the landlord and the tenants and copies of machine readable passports, CNICs to the respective police stations, housing authority.

No building shall be rented out to the non-locals without prior registration in the concerned police stations. If anyone found violating the above orders, shall be dealt with and proceeded against under section 188 PPC.

This order shall come in to force at once and shall remain as such for period of thirty days unless or otherwise modified or withdrawn earlier.
