Karachi jammed as army chief visits Sindh Rangers HQ

KARACHI: Thousands of Karachiites got stuck in massive gridlocks during the evening rush hours as country’s powerful military leader General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani landed in the port city to visit the Sindh Rangers Headquarters here on Monday.

Long queues of vehicles were seen on Shahra-e-Faisal, I.I Chandrigar Road and near Hotel Metro Pole due to VVIP movement in the city.

Not only the some roads were completely blocked by the law enforcement agencies, the paramilitary Rangers also closed the roads for the pedestrians.

People who left for their houses from their workplaces faced great difficulties as roads adjacent to the Chief Minister House was also blocked by police.
