Zayn Malik shares little-known detail about his live shows

Zayn Malik recently opened up about a personal preference that his die hard fans may have already noticed during his live gigs.

His admirers attending the former One Direction star’s shows may have spotted the absence of one common stage essential, that is in-ear monitors, and now the singer himself has finally explained why he chooses to perform without them.

During a special appearance on British GQ’s #GQSoundtracked series, the Dusk Till Dawn hitmaker discussed some of his favourite songs and shared an honest insight into his stage habits.

While talking about performance gear, he admitted that he strongly dislikes both wired and wireless ear pieces.

“Wireless, wired earphones. I don't F with them, man,” the Pillowtalk chart-topper shared candidly during the interview.

He further explained that anyone who has attended one of his concerts has probably already noticed that he never wears in-ear monitors while performing live.

“If you've ever been to a Zayn show, you'll see I don't wear in-ears,” the 33-year-old added.

According to him, the reason is simple: he finds them uncomfortable and distracting while he is on stage.

“I don't like anything over my ear or in my ear,” Zayn added.

The revelation gave fans a rare glimpse into the singer’s comfort style.
