Mildred Pierce star Ann Blyth breathed her last at the age of 98.

The actress, who played the supporting role of the manipulative daughter, Veda in the 1945 film noir, reportedly passed away on Wednesday, June 24.

KABC's George Pennacchio confirmed her death on Thursday, June 25, revealing that she died from "natural causes.”

Born as Anne Blythe in Mount Kisco, New York, in 1928, the Oscar Nominee later dropped the "e" from her first and last name.

Her father abandoned the family, prompting her mother to move Blyth and her sister to New York City.

The late actress began working as a child actor on the radio at just five years old. At nine, she joined the New York Children's Opera Company.

One of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood, Blyth earned an Oscar nomination for her role opposite Joan Crawford in Mildred Pierce.

The film noir received six Academy Award nominations at the 18th Academy Awards and won one.

The film's nominations and wins include Crawford, taking home the Best Actress accolade. She won the only Oscar of her career for her starring role as the devoted, self-made mother Mildred.
