King Charles hosted a special reception at Buckingham Palace focused on accelerating global action against climate change.
Among those welcomed by the monarch was A Greener Future (AGF) CEO and co-founder Claire O'Neill, who joined representatives from governments, the United Nations, businesses and civil society for a discussion on turning climate ambitions into meaningful results.
The organisation shared a photograph from the event on Instagram on Wednesday. The reception followed a roundtable on the Global Action Agenda, an initiative linked to the Paris Agreement and the COP process that aims to strengthen the role of businesses, cities, investors and communities in driving climate action beyond formal international negotiations.
Participants also discussed practical ways to translate environmental commitments into measurable progress.
After the talks, attendees met with King Charles, who was briefed on the outcomes of the roundtable and the steps being proposed to accelerate climate solutions across sectors.
Claire O'Neill described it as an honour to meet the monarch alongside fellow environmental leaders and speak about an issue she is deeply passionate about.
She described, "The live sector is filled with practical examples of progress in delivery of climate action targets which improve experience.
I was happy to be able to share some of these during the meeting, such as batteries taking diesel out of events."
O'Neill also stressed that the Global Action Agenda has the potential to bridge the gap between policy and real-world action while amplifying voices and ideas that are often overlooked.
