KARACHI: Pakistan’s special Olympians returned from Australia to a rousing welcome after winning 51 medals at the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Games.
As soon as the special Olympians came out of the airport after some memorable performances at the Asia Pacific Games held at Newcastle, Australia, they were welcomed by chants of Pakistan Zindabad.
The Pakistan contingent won 51medals at the games including 23 golds.
Pakistan team’s coach Ishrat Zehra said that the children were awarded for their hard work and now it was the responsibility of the government to support them.
The returning Pakistan players, proudly displaying their medals said that they wanted to win more laurels for the country in the future.
