David Harbour drops surprising hint about Marvel's next Avengers team

David Harbour has shared a new detail about Avengers: Doomsday.

The actor revealed that the New Avengers and the original Avengers will not always be on the same page when they meet in Marvel's next big film.

Harbour, who plays Red Guardian, talked about the movie during Entertainment Weekly's panel at San Diego Comic Con 2026.

He said the two teams have very different ways of dealing with problems and that will lead to some serious clashes.

"There’s trouble for sure," Harbour said, explaining that the New Avengers truly believe they are making the right choices, but the original heroes may not agree with the way they do things.

Those differences will create tension as the story moves forward.

Lewis Pullman, who plays Sentry, also hinted that fans should expect plenty of surprises.

He said the New Avengers are about to face challenges they never expected.

The team was formed after the former Thunderbolts members saved New York City and took on their new identity.

It includes Bucky Barnes, Yelena Belova, Ghost, John Walker and Red Guardian.

Meanwhile, the original Avengers have been apart since the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Sam Wilson's Captain America has already spoken about building a new team, setting the stage for an interesting meeting between both groups.

Because Bucky has strong ties with both sides, many fans believe he could play a big role in bringing everyone together.

Avengers: Doomsday will also feature the Fantastic Four, the X Men and Victor Von Doom before arriving in cinemas on December 18, 2026.
