Kris Jenner celebrates mother MJ's first birthday after death

Kris Jenner is taking a trip down the memory lane on a very special occasion.

On Sunday, July 26, the 70-year-old momager marked her mother Jo “MJ” Campbell’s first posthumous birthday. The heartfelt tribute comes just 10 days after MJ’s death at age 91.

“Happy Heavenly Birthday Mommy. I love you,” the Kardashians star captioned the Instagram post over the weekend.

The collection of photos begins with a photo of the beloved late matriarch, smiling while wearing a bright, floral-print jacket.

The following image shows Kris and her mom sitting across from each other at a table, and the third captures the pair embracing.

Another snapshot of the mother and daughter posing together was followed by a larger family photo featuring Kris’ daughters Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Khloé Kardashian.

For the unversed, Kris announced the death of her mom in a social media post on July 16.

“There are no words that could ever capture what she has meant to me or the heartbreak of having to say goodbye,” the grieving daughter wrote in the caption. “My mom was the heart of our family. She taught me everything that truly matters … to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted.”

MJ welcomed Kris with engineer Robert Houghton in 1955. They later welcomed daughter Karen Houghton in 1958.
