Meghan Markle once again became a topic of discussion after she declined to be called Duchess on a television show.
On Sunday, the Duchess of Sussex's pre-recorded MasterChef Australia episode went on air. Dressed in an all-black outfit, she was the "mystery guest judge."
One of the judges, Poh Ling Yeow, gave the participants a surprise by inviting the former Suits actress to join them. She asked Meghan, "Welcome. Do I call you Duchess?"
But Prince Harry's wife simply said, "Oh, call me Meghan. Absolutely, yeah."
Meghan, who previously in her Netflix show insisted on being called Duchess, sparked reactions with her U-turn.
Fans are reacting to the new controversy. One wrote on social media, "Glad she reminded us that she is a duchess." Another penned, "That's surprising."
"Wait, doesn’t she want to be called royalty? Make up your mind," another wrote.
The other big moment of the show was Prince Harry's unexpected appearance via a video call. He said hello to everyone present at the set.
