Meghan Markle is back in the spotlight following her TV appearance at the beloved reality show during the weekend, but the attention seemed to have rivalled many big celebrities.

Although, not for the reasons one would expect.

Ever since the latest episode of the MasterChef Australia went on air, Meghan has been sparked debate over several matters.

While there is group of people who absolutely loved the appearance from the Duchess of Sussex, there were others who had been brutal in their verdict and even criticised the showrunners on their choice of guest.

Rumours have swirled about how Meghan did not want to use her royal title at the show and there was some awkwardness over it with one of the judges when the ‘Duchess of Sussex’ was introduced. However, sources claim that there was a bigger drama taking place behind the scenes.

“She carried herself like she was Julia Roberts arriving to shoot a blockbuster,” an insider told Rob Shuter. “This is MasterChef Australia. The team has worked with award winners, world-famous chefs, and global stars. They’ve never experienced anything quite like this.”

They added that there was “an audible sigh of relief” when Meghan finally left the set as people couldn’t wait to wrap the day.

Another insider reiterated that “everyone was just praying for the taping to be over” and the ‘royalty’ comment was “the least of the crew’s concerns”.

In retrospect, the video clips shared by the MasterChef channel paints a different picture as Meghan is seen being kind to the crew. She even introduced Prince Harry, who had called during the show, to include them in the conversation.

The sources argue that it was the extensive list of requests and the expectation that production to will revolve around her, which caused the real problem.
