MasterChef judge Poh Ling Yeow addresses ‘on-set rift' with Meghan Markle

MasterChef Australia judge Poh Ling Yeow shut down rumours about having friction with Meghan Markle as she appeared on the show.

The Duchess of Sussex, who was the guest judge on the latest episode of the cooking competition, had sparked some controversy when it was being filmed. At the time, it was revealed that Meghan’s team was left “very frustrated” when he was introduced as “royalty”, with specific instructions given to the producers.

Following the shoot, New Idea magazine reported that Poh was “upset” that she was dragged into the royal protocol drama.

“She was willing to reach out immediately,” the insider had said. “But she was advised to leave it for production to handle.”

The matter was not officially discussed nor addressed by the Sussexes and the producers also did not comment.

Although, it doesn’t seem like it had been much of a problem as the behind the scene clip paints a very different picture. The show producers used a clever tactic to address the matter.

In a clip shared by the show’s official page, it revealed how Poh and Meghan became “instant besties”.

The caption read, “Finding your bestie in the MC kitchen.”

As Poh showed Meghan around the infamous pantry at the show, the As Ever founder appeared to be excited looking around.
