Usher concertgoer addresses rejecting his advances in awkward onstage moment

Usher was rejected in front of thousands of people by a woman he brought on stage during his joint R&B Tour with Chris Brown.
During the tour’s stop in Nashville on Friday, July 25, Usher invited a concertgoer on stage to serenade and seduce her as part of his performance of Can U Handle It?. In fan-captured footage, the woman — later identified as Gabrielle Cheyenne — went along with the sensual act at first, which included her sitting on a bed as Usher sang to her.
But as things got more heated, Cheyenne looked visibly uncomfortable as she rejected the singer’s advances. Picking up on her closed-off body language, Usher backed away and shook his head.
“I don’t think she wanna be on the stage,” he told the crowd, before waving her off the stage.
Cheyenne later addressed the awkward moment and the subsequent backlash she received from fans in a Facebook post.
“First off NOBOY is declining to go on stage,” she wrote. “I looked good asf, you thought I wasn’t gonna let THOUSANDS of people see me?? On the big screen, where you b***hes will never be???”
Cheyenne explained that she was attending the concert with her mother, revealing they had floor seats. But, according to her, Usher’s team upgraded her to VIP seats before the show began, crediting her “pretty privileges.”
“They don’t say who you’re going up there for!! Y’all wanted me to get up there and f*ck him atp ?? CHATT FOLKS AREN’T USED TO ANYTHING. That’s the most exciting thing that would’ve happened in y’all little ass lives !! F**ck yall, DISRESPECTFULLY,” she concluded.
She further wrote on Instagram, “My attitude isn’t ‘nasty’ until provoked. Yall aren’t gonna get on the internet calling me out my name and disrespecting me and expect me to keep it cool!”
Usher did not address the encounter after the show ended. Instead, he simply wrote on Instagram, “Nashville… tell your lovers and friends that we bout to do it again. See U tonight.”
The R&B tour, also known as the Raymond & Brown tour, kicked off in Denver on June 26. After stops in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, and Las Vegas, the tour will conclude on December 11 in Tampa.
