Princess Beatrice missing from Tuscany celebration for close friend's 40th

Princess Beatrice appeared to miss a lavish 40th birthday celebration held by her close friend Alice Naylor-Leyland at the stunning Villa Cetinale in Tuscany, despite their friendship and business ties.

The British socialite marked the milestone birthday with a glamorous weekend gathering at the historic Italian estate, surrounded by friends and family including Lady Mary Charteris and model Poppy Delevingne.

While Beatrice was not seen in any photographs or videos shared by guests from the celebrations, the event had a colourful atmosphere filled with Italian-inspired glamour. 

Lady Mary described the occasion on social media as going “full mambo Italiano” while celebrating Alice’s special day.

Guests embraced the villa’s elegant surroundings, with Lady Mary wearing a sheer gold gown by Annie’s Ibiza and Alice dazzling in a gold sequinned dress. 

Daytime celebrations included relaxed moments by the pool, with guests and children enjoying the Tuscan sunshine.

The absence of Princess Beatrice stood out given her connection to Alice, who has collaborated with the royal through their business ventures. 

No reason was given for why the Princess did not appear to attend the festivities.

Villa Cetinale is a six-bedroom estate with centuries of history, was acquired in 1977 by the late Conservative MP Lord Antony Lambton. During his time there, the villa became known for hosting notable figures, including Princess Margaret and Mick Jagger.

The property is now owned by Lord Lambton’s son Ned, who commissioned Camilla Guinness to redesign the interiors. It has also gained modern fame as a filming location for the television drama Succession.
