Emma Roberts is a married woman.
The American Horror Story star wed longtime partner Cody John on 25 July in an intimate outdoor ceremony at his family's estate in Sun Valley, Idaho, capping a relationship that began quietly in 2022.
Roberts wore a custom Monique Lhuillier gown, made over roughly 1,000 hours, which she described wanting to evoke "a little antique ghost doll," with the fabric specially dyed an "antique rose" tone for a tea-stained finish.
John wore a brown suit for the ceremony.
Among those in attendance were Roberts' aunt, Julia Roberts, and her husband, Danny Moder, alongside close friends and family.
In one of the day's most personal touches, Roberts' five-year-old son Rhodes, whom she shares with ex-partner Garrett Hedlund, walked her down the aisle.
John, an actor largely unknown to the wider public, has spent the past several years steadily building a television and film career while keeping his relationship with Roberts almost entirely out of the public eye.
Since his screen debut in 2018, he has taken on roles in Wu-Tang: An American Saga, The CW's In the Dark, ABC's The Rookie and CBS's NCIS, alongside a handful of independent film credits.
A UCLA theatre arts graduate originally from Los Angeles, John rarely posts on social media and has made few public appearances alongside Roberts since the couple went Instagram official in August 2022, captioned simply "sweet sweet."
The pair met through mutual friends that same summer, not long after Roberts' split from Hedlund, and got engaged in July 2024.
Roberts broke the news on Instagram at the time with a selfie showing off her ring, joking in the caption: "Putting this here before my mom tells everyone."
Roberts has previously spoken about preferring privacy in her relationships, telling Cosmopolitan in 2019: "I never want to talk about relationships I'm in or that are ending or have ended. It's hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience."
