Princess Anne’s enthusiasm for change shows no signs of fading as she visited Southampton to experience the latest in high-performance sailing technology.

The Princess Royal appeared in high spirits at the SailGP Tech Hub ahead of the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix, which took place in Portsmouth at the weekend.

The 75-year-old heardest woking royal explored the Emirates GBR F50 race boat, cutting-edge wing technology.

She also saw first-hand how SailGP uses data and technology across its operations. This includes billions of data points that inform performance, officiating and live broadcasts.

She was warmly welcomed by Sir Ben Ainslie, Team Principal and CEO of the Emirates team.

At the event, Sir Michael Arthur, Chair of the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), and Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, were also present.

Zara Tindall's mother met athletes and exchanged words with officials across SailGP’s international fleet in her capacity as President of the RYA.
