Meghan Markle returned to the spotlight with a big victory after being 'trolled' and 'criticised' for her appearance on MasterChef Australia.
It has been revealed by broadcaster Network 10 that the episode featuring the Duchess of Sussex as a guest judge has broken viewership records.
On Sunday, the episode featuring Meghan alongside MasterChef Australia judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli aired.
The last episode reached a total of 1.6million Total TV viewers.
"It broke the record for the biggest overnight Sunday audience since July 2023 and the biggest-ever overnight streaming audience, at 118,000 viewers, according to figures released by broadcaster Network 10," Express reported.
Meghan's presence gave a major boost to the show, as a 16% increase in the national Total TV audience has been observed.
It is important to mention that prior to this record, claims were made that Meghan's demands caused discomfort among the crew and contestants.
She also did not have very pleasant moments with the judges.
However, all these reports were debunked by the Duchess' spokesperson, sharing that no such incidents took place.
