Prince Harry's apology won't get his royal status back

Prince Harry has seen the weight of the Crown up close, and he understands the truth that what is lost to duty is rarely returned by words alone.

The Duke of Sussex is also aware of the fact that an apology, no matter how public or sincere, cannot undo years of distance, interviews and decisions that pulled him and his family away from royal life.

Undoubtedly, in the monarchy, titles are tied to service not sentiment. And once that service is set aside, the path back becomes far steeper than any statement can climb.

Harry won’t waste his apology knowing it won’t restore what’s been lost. King Charles, Prince William, and other senior royals have lost trust in him, and one sorry alone cannot rebuild it.

The bridge between the Duke and the Palace has been burned too many times. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's father will have to make more serious efforts if he really wants to return to the royal fold.

There are also speculations that Harry' recent reunion with King Charles wil help him strenghten his bond with other senior royals as William and Charles are united despit the fact that the future monarch is concerned Harry's presence could overshadow the Firm's work.

The King, 77, wants to connect with his grandchildren. Harry also wants the monarch to see Archie and Lilibet which is totally understandable. 

Things will undoubtedly be better arranged regarding accommodation and, hopefully security will also beef up if Harry makes future visit.
