Prince William received support from the royal family, but not his own, on an important issue in a heartfelt message.

The Prince of Wales had personally penned a message for the natural disaster that had gripped parts of Europe, especially in France and Spain, also in the UK. Reportedly, more than 300,000 people were forced to leave their homes after the wildfires started.

Buckingham Palace is yet to issue a statement on the matter but in the meantime, the Monaco royals, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene expressed solidarity during this tough time.

“As massive wildfires sweep across many parts of the world, including France, Spain and the UK, Princess Charlene joins me in sending our deepest support to all those affected,” Albert wrote in French.

“Our thoughts are with the ordeal families, those who are forced to leave their homes, and all the communities mobilised to face this ordeal,” it continued.

“We salute the remarkable bravery of firefighters, emergency crews, and all who work tirelessly to protect populations and preserve endangered territories.”

Moreover, in line with how William highlighted the effects of climate change, Albert expressed a similar sentiment.

“These fires also affect precious natural habitats and fragile biodiversity. They are the result of major disregulations affecting our climate, and are calling for brave answers more than ever. Protecting our environment is an emergency that must bring us all together.”

He concluded, “In these difficult times, our solidarity is with each of those affected.”
