‘Bridgerton' season 5 update hints at different season ahead

Bridgerton season 5 is shaping up to be very different from the last few seasons, with a new love story taking main stage.

While fans can still expect some romance and family drama, the next chapter will bring a new focus and a few new faces to the world of Bridgerton.

Netflix already confirmed that filming is underway and the new season is expected to arrive in 2027.

This time, the story will follow Francesca Bridgerton, played by Hannah Dodd, as she begins a new chapter in her life after the heartbreaking loss of her husband, John Stirling.

As the story moves forward, Francesca grows closer to Michaela Stirling, which is played by Masali Baduza.

Their relationship, however, will be at the heart of season 5, giving viewers a different love story from the ones seen in earlier seasons.

The new season will also introduce a few new characters while bringing back many familiar faces.

Violet Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury are all returning, along with some other members of the Bridgerton family.

Some fan favorites, moreover, will not be seen as often as Nicola Coughlan already shared that Penelope Bridgerton will only appear in a few scenes.

Netflix announced that Bridgerton Season 5 will release in 2027.
