Anya Taylor-Joy makes rare confession about husband Malcolm McRae

Anya Taylor-Joy is sharing rare insights into her relationship and married life with husband Malcolm McRae.

The Queen’s Gambit star is opening up about the love, laughter, and security her beloved life partner brings to her life.

“I don’t want to sound smug, but I love him so much,” she said in a new interview. “To have a best friend who goes through life with you – it has given me a sense of security that I didn’t really ever dream about.”

“It wasn’t something that was on my list,” the Lucky actress told Elle U.K. about finding true love. “Now that I have it, I just feel emboldened to take more risks because I know I’ve got something really nutritive and solid and healthy and so f*****g fun. I laugh, like, 90% of the time.”

Interestingly, the couple previously discovered they shared the same birthday, April 16, after meeting at a music studio.

For the unversed, the More* musician and the Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga actress eloped to New Orleans.

After eloping in April 2022, they tied the knot for a second time in Venice, Italy, in late September 2023.

The couple kept their New Orleans nuptials largely under wraps, until they celebrated their second wedding anniversary in 2024.
