‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day' dominates second weekend with massive earnings

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still ruling the box office as audiences continue to love Tom Holland’s recent Marvel adventure.

The movie is expected to make about $43 million in North America during its second weekend.

That would take its domestic total to around $350 million, giving the superhero film another huge result.

The strong numbers came just days after the movie enjoyed a massive opening. Its latest weekend shows that the film is not losing much attention after its first big launch.

The movie, however, is also facing strong competition from Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.

The epic earned $8.8 million on its fourth Friday and is expected to bring in about $28 million during the weekend.

That result could push The Odyssey close to $500 million in North America.

The movie stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya and Robert Pattinson.

Nolan’s film has also stayed popular through premium cinema screenings, especially IMAX.

Its long run has helped it remain one of the biggest movies of the summer.

Still, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is clearly leading the weekend race.

The latest numbers show that Marvel’s new sequel has become a major box office hit, while The Odyssey continues to attract big crowds.
