Perez Hilton faces difficult recovery after hospitalisation

Perez Hilton is in a “serious but stable” condition after a disturbing TikTok livestream ended up him to hospitalisation in Florida.

The 48-year-old celebrity blogger is now facing surgery and a long recovery, according to a statement from his family.

“Perez's condition remains serious but stable,” the statement said. “He experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days.”

His family said his recovery will take time and thanked supporters for their concern.

They, however, also revealed that Hilton was able to spend time with his mother and sister while receiving treatment.

The family stressed that updates about his condition will only come through PerezHilton com.

They added that Hilton has very limited communication while receiving care and has not opened publicly about the situation.

They also asked the media and public to stay away from the family home in Miami and respect their privacy.

The situation has been especially painful for Hilton’s family because his children, niece and sister were inside the home shortly before the livestream.

His family said they left after realising he was going through a severe mental health crisis.

Perez now is under medical care as his family prepares for a long road ahead.
