Christopher Lambert health update after 'Highlander' star rushed to hospital

Highlander star Christopher Lambert is recovering after suffering a medical emergency at a Pittsburgh Comic-Con.

The 69-year-old actor suddenly collapsed while signing autographs for fans at Steel City Comic-Con on Saturday, August 8, according to a witness who spoke with TMZ. Lambert was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, but his representative later assured fans that the actor is “perfectly ok” and resting at his hotel.

According to his spokesperson, Lambert had not gotten enough sleep the night before and had barely eaten during the day, causing his blood sugar to drop.

It remains unclear whether Lambert will return to the convention Sunday. However, TMZ was told he is expected to be well enough to attend his scheduled appearance at FAN EXPO in Chicago next week.

The incident marks Lambert’s second health scare in recent years. Last year, the actor injured his back after falling down a flight of stairs at a hotel, forcing him to cancel an appearance at Sweden’s SciFiWorld festival.

Lambert is best known for playing Connor MacLeod in the Highlander franchise, as well as Raiden in Mortal Kombat.
