Gisele Bündchen's son follows in Joaquim Valente's Jiu-Jitsu footsteps

Gisele Bündchen is giving fans another glimpse into her family's love of jiu-jitsu. 

The supermodel shared a new photo of her husband, Joaquim Valente, and their toddler son matching in white jiu-jitsu uniforms, continuing a theme she's returned to throughout the year on social media.

Bündchen and Valente, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor she's been with since 2023, welcomed their son together in February 2025, and married in a Florida ceremony in December of that year. 

The couple has previously shared several similar snapshots highlighting the sport's role in their family life, including a Father's Day post in June that showed Valente lying on the ground in his uniform with their son resting on his chest in a matching mini version. 

Bündchen wrote in that post that she was grateful for Valente "leading by example," praising the "love, humility, integrity, discipline, kindness and consistency" he brings to fatherhood.

Jiu-jitsu has become something of a family activity beyond just the couple's youngest child. 

Bündchen has said all three of her children, including son Benjamin, 16, and daughter Vivian, 13, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Brady, have taken an interest in the sport thanks to Valente. 

"We all love to do jiu-jitsu, which is so great to build self-confidence," she told PEOPLE in 2023, adding that the family also enjoys paddleboarding, kayaking and trampoline time together.

Bündchen has often reflected on parenting through the lens of leading by example rather than instruction. 

In an earlier caption accompanying similar family photos, she wrote, "It's so sweet to see how little they are when they start watching and emulating what we do. They're learning from us even when we don't realize it. Moments like this remind me that my actions matter more than what I say, because so much of who they're becoming is shaped by the example they see every day."
