Meghan suffers fresh blow from Martha Stewart after ‘confused' remarks

Meghan Markle’s plans to smooth things over following Martha Stewart’s blunt comment have gone awry.

Just like how an alleged feud with resolved Gwyneth Paltrow, Meghan was hoping that this would also be dealt in similar fashion and turned in her favour.

The As Ever founder had reportedly tried to reach Martha directly to clear the air. Sources cited by Rob Shuter claim that Meghan “doesn’t want this to become a bigger thing” and “doesn’t want this hanging over them”.

The lifestyle guru caused trouble for the Duchess of Sussex as suggested in her the recent People Magazine interviewthat Meghan had not followed King Charles’s orders.

Prince Harry and Meghan had taken their children Archie and Lilibet to UK last month to meet with the monarch in a private meeting at Highgrove House. One of the crucial conditions set was to keep the details private and not have it leaked anywhere.

According to Martha, Meghan had been talking about the meeting at a dinner party in California they both had been attending. Martha said that Meghan did not directly talk to her about it, but she knew what was being discussed.

The comment had been vague and sources close to Meghan had said that Martha could have been “confused”. The dinner’s host contacted People and called Martha’s account “simply untrue”.

Now, the new Rob Shuter report stressed that Martha is not backing down from what she said.

“Martha said what she said,” the insider told Rob. “She was there, she remembers the conversation and she has no reason to invent it.”
