Ariana Grande leaves lasting impression on fan amid weight loss scrutiny

Ariana Grande wowed a fan during an unplanned, candid interaction at the airport ahead of her recent flight to London, and it sparked a conversation on the internet.

The 33-year-old pop superstar was flying at the JFK International Airport when a fan ran into her, and later the fan gushed over the brief encounter, on social media.

Describing her overwhelming experience, the fan noted, “She was the sweetest … I told her ‘You’re amazing’ and she replied ‘Thank you, you’re amazing too’ … She was smiling the entire time through security while she was waiting.”

She also pointed out how the Wicked star appeared in great spirits despite the ongoing conversation about her weight, and body on the internet.

The eating disorder discourse began a while back, when Grande was doing the press tour for Wicked, and reached its climax when she released the music video for petal. 

While most fans have been concerned over the drastic weight loss, many critics have accused Grande of promoting unhealthy weight standards among younger audiences.
