Hayden Panettiere's final hours raise difficult questions after sudden death

Hayden Panettiere’s loved ones are left with painful questions about the actress’ final hours following her sudden death in South Carolina.

Panettiere, 36, reportedly traveled from Los Angeles to South Carolina with her on-off boyfriend Brian Hickerson shortly before she was found unresponsive inside a Greenville apartment.

She was later pronounced dead.

Now, people close to the Nashville star want to understand what happened before the emergency call.

“People close to Hayden want to know what happened inside that apartment, who was with her, and what happened before that 911 call,” a source told Rob Shutter.

Reports that Narcan was found at the scene and that 911 dispatch audio appeared to mention a possible overdose have added to the questions. 

However, Panettiere’s official cause and manner of death remain pending the medical examiner’s findings.

“The obvious questions are where did the drugs come from, who had access to them and whether Hayden knowingly took anything,” added source.

“But right now, people are looking for answers, not making accusations.”

Hickerson and Panettiere had a turbulent relationship. He previously admitted abusing the actress and served jail time after pleading no contest to felony charges involving her.

“Nobody is accusing Brian of causing Hayden’s death,” the source stressed. 

“But people who loved Hayden want to know what he knew, what he saw and what happened between their arrival in South Carolina and the moment she was found.”

Authorities have said there were no initial signs of foul play. Until the medical examiner releases official findings, questions surrounding Panettiere’s death remain unanswered.
