Royal family shares first statement on Prince Edward after ex's claims

King Charles' office has released a key update on Prince Edward after fresh claims about his past relationship emerged.

The Duke of Edinburgh seemingly turned  a deaf ear to the allegations from his ex as he stepped out at Dance Base in Scotland ahead of the King's Balmoral ceremony.

The Palace posted photos of Sophie's husband on the royal family's official Instagram Story with details about his visit.

The palace captioned the pictures: "As Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh has visited Dance Base in Scotland. On a recent visit, HRH visited dance artists during a rehearsal and learnt more about the way the charity supports the wider community."

It added: "Based in Edinburgh, the charity supports dance artists, international exchange students and community projects across its four studios, helping more people benefit from the inspiration and empowerment that comes through dance."

In anotehr photo, the Duke appears to be watching a dance class alongside several other people while dancers perform in the foreground.

Overall, the photo shows a royal visit to a dance organisation, emphasising community arts, dance, and empowerment.
