Gigi Hadid says what makes Bradley Cooper romance 'so different'

Gigi Hadid is giving fans rare insight into what makes her relationship with Bradley Cooper feel different from anything she's experienced before. 

In new comments, the 31-year-old supermodel described the defining quality of their connection as radical honesty. 

"What's beautiful about my current relationship, and so different from what I've experienced before, is the ability to be deeply honest," she said.

"To say what we think, when we think it."

Hadid, who shares 7-year-old daughter Khai with ex Zayn Malik, has previously touched on similar themes in past interviews about the relationship. 

In an April 2025 Vogue cover story, she reflected on how much creative encouragement Cooper has brought into her life. 

"I respect him so much as a creative. I feel that he gives so much to me: encouragement and, just, belief. For those people you admire to encourage you, it can create so much belief in yourself. Like, what's the worst thing if I auditioned for this? You jump and take the leap." 

She also credited Cooper with reigniting her love of theater, noting, "Bradley has opened me up to going to the theater more, and that's something that's so nice to bring back into my life." 

Speaking separately to Vogue France, she expanded on the mutual support at the core of their relationship, explaining that the two don't always fully understand every part of each other's work but remain consistently present for one another regardless.

Hadid and Cooper were first linked in October 2023 after being spotted dining together at Via Carota in New York City's West Village, a spot they've returned to multiple times since. 

The relationship has unfolded gradually and largely privately, by early 2024, the two had begun meeting each other's families, and Hadid made the romance Instagram official in May 2025 with a kissing photo from her 30th birthday celebration. 

The couple has continued to show public support for one another's careers since, including Hadid attending the New York Film Festival premiere of Cooper's film Is This Thing On? last October.

The two are currently based together in Paris while Cooper works on his new film.
