Queen Camilla and Princess Catherine seem to be putting their differences for a major issue that has been simmering in the Palace for weeks.
It is a long-held claim that there has been some bitterness between the current Queen and the future Queen over their positions in the royal family. Kate is far more popular than Camilla, which she is not happy about.
However, as the Sussexes have made their return, the two have joined forces to convince King Charles to set “clear boundaries”, according to royal expert Andrew Lownie.
The King and Prince William were reportedly aware of Prince Harry and Meghan’s move to Britain “six months” in advance. Lownie told Daily Mail that this has “suited their purposes to distance themselves whilst public opinion is tested”.
Meanwhile, William and Kate are concerned if Harry and Meghan will eventually demand the ‘half-in, half-out’ model despite the claims that the Sussexes want nothing to do with the royal life.
“The Queen, who is very close to Kate, has been stiffening the resolve of the King to establish clear boundaries for [Harry and Meghan],” he claimed.
“There remains a great deal of family dissension about the way the King has handled the Sussex problem on top of the ‘too little, too late’ strategy on the disgraced former prince Andrew and his family.”
